About Kassel

Kassel is the third biggest city of Hesse and had been its capital for quite a long time. For decades only known for its industries, Kassel nowadays is the city of the Documenta. Since 1955 this exhibition takes place every 4 or 5 years. Beside the Documenta it is worthwhile to visit the Fridericianum, the castle Wilhelmshöhe, the Herkules, or just walk around the beautiful rambling Karlsauen.
